thumbnails with the post
sorry I couldn't find anywhere else to put this thread. The problem is that I have this piece of code
<img src = "<?php echo get_post_meta($post->ID, "thumbnail_url", true); ?>"> It gets an image depending the post id and I want it to show on the front page of my website beside the post title. Is there anyway to do that? I also have question that is that I want my front page to have to columns of post rather than one, If its possible please reply. Thanx in advance. |
I'd also be interested in the answer to this question. I've done quite a bit of customization of this great theme, but would like to have excerpts on the home page with a thumbnail picture next to it. Is there any way to do this?
Thanks so much, Lisa http://www.travelinlocal.com |

did you actually get thumbnails for excerpts working on Atahualpa?
I spent all yesterday trying to get thumbnails for my recent post column, and nothing seems to work with the latest Ata theme! I went back to recent posts plugin only because it can control which posts begin showing in the column. It's driving me nuts. -Jim in NY |
I've got the thumbnails plugin running on a 332 site;
My posts page is here: http://www.cloudyproject.com/blog/ (My home page is a hand coded template, don't know of a plugin that will produce that look - my blog page uses the plugin as intended though). It also works for me on pages using a template that call only specific categories: http://www.cloudyproject.com/wank/ It only works if you fill in an excerpt for your post, that has stymied a few folks. |
I've got it working on http://www.larchmontgazette.com.
