[SOLVED] Upgraded to to 3.6.7. Now all Post titles are messed up
 

Hi,

I've upgraded to 3.6.7. from 3.4.2 and now many of the posts have double titles.

For instance: http://www.worldofdiets.com/does-alcohol-make-you-fat/

Has a double title (the headline at the top of the post). Apparently it has something to do with custom fields. In 3.4.2 I could decide which title would appear on single posts and which would be the webpage's title.

However, if I need to go over 600 posts by hand, then I guess I'm done with this theme :(.

Is there any other way to bring things back to normal

Do you don't the 3.6.7 PATCHES applied. Here are the links.

• PATCH 367-01: Odd effects when 'CSS: Compress' = 'Yes'
• PATCH 367-02 is incorporated in PATCH 367-04
• PATCH 367-03: PHP errors when adding widget areas in index.php
• PATCH 367-04: Hovering over a Post/Page title only shows "Permanent Link to"
• PATCH 367-05: Site Title appended after the 'WordPress SEO by Yoast' title

Hi, I don't have them but I don't see how these can help me. They don't seem related. Which one should I use?

all of them, they fix a variety of issues and if you apply them all, you won't run into those issues in the future...

Thanks for this post juggledad. I had a whole slew of issues after upgrading to 3.6.7 (after years of problem-free upgrades with this theme). This solved a handful of them.

I dont have this plugin installed its a new blog but i get double titles from the subject line if I go back to the post for any reason. To get rid of them I have to delete the posts.... What should I do? Currently I am setting it up its at pyrography-gourd-art . com (I don't want a link showing up here)

btw think of me as a newbie.

ok will try the patches but from what you said it appeared that only if you have that plugin does that problem apply and since i dont have the plugin!

I admit i am not up on wp but i have not heard of patches before i thought you just upgraded to the next installation ..... so does that mean these patches are not stable enough for that? Or that there is not enough fixes for the next version?
