[SOLVED] Having problem with my horizontal menu

I set up a new site Iīm working on on http://kerholsskoli.gagnavist.is

The user then contacted my and said that he had some problems with the dropdown menu, it suddenly disappears although the mouse has not hovered away from it. I have not had this problem on my side mainly because I use Firefox and I have setup on my PC IE9, Google Chrome, Safari for PC and Opera. I canīt recreate this problem in any of those browsers. When I connected to my clients computer I saw he was running IE8 and since this is a school he told me almost every computer in the building had this browser installed.

I have told my client to update his computers but I still need to fix this problem because a lot of people out there use IE8 (although I canīt understand it).

Anybody out there who can check this out for me in IE8 and help me debug this ?

Try turning off the menu animation. That causes problems in some situations.

They were complaining to me before I set the animation on the menu. I set the animation on to see if they would notice any changes to the better. But I guess its better to take it off and I did just that now.

But I know they are not happy about this menu behaviour... The CSS is mostly set up by myself, maby there needs to be somekind of other CSS code for <IE9.

Not sure what to tell you. The animation issue only shows itself in certain circumstances. Perhaps a conflict with a plugin. You can also look for menu plugins to try instead but that gets into other issues such as creating new widget areas, styling the new menu, etc. That's why I said to just turn off the animation as it now looks like the menu doesn't collapse like it did before.

I've just tested this. after 5 minutes the menu is still 'dropped down' - I suspect this maybe 'user error' unless he can recreate it at will on multiple computers.

Thanks for testing Juggledad.

I have tested the menu on IE8 and I canīt create this problem the user reported to me anymore. So I hope this is fixed.
