[SOLVED] Changing comment form background color

Hi,
I would like to change the background color of the comments form from the default #eee; (light grey) to transparent. Whatever changes I make to the Comment Form Style box, however, it doesn't seem to pick up. My site is at http://www.cornetsdegroot.com. Any help is much appreciated; please let me know if more info is required.
Thanks!

it looks like you have two installs of wordpress, one for your main site and another for the webblog - is this correct? It looks like you did change the Comment style in the MAIN site, but not the BLOG site.

Hi Juggledad,

It's not really two installs; it's a new WP install under the root http://www.cornetsdegroot.com that now "covers" my old website, which is accessible via http://www.cornetsdegroot.com/index.html (or through most of the links in the left hand menu; I'm still working to transfer 1000+ pages to the new install). However, there is no blog functionality on the old website; there's just static pages there.
In short, I would still welcome your help on how to change the comments form background color from #eee; to transparent, if possible!

Thanks,
Rutger

Please give me a diredt link to a page with the comment form. I assumed it was the 'Weblog RHCdG' - is that incorrect because http://www.cornetsdegroot.com/ is one install and http://www.cornetsdegroot.com/rhcdg/ is a secone install as far as I can tell

Hi Juggledad,

Oh, you found my personal blog at ../rhcdg as well? You are right, that is a second WP install!

Please find an example of a page with a comment form at http://www.cornetsdegroot.com/volledig-werk/ or at http://www.cornetsdegroot.com/rhcdg/...ilie/#comments for the second install. Many thanks for your help!

you have two background rules in your CSS
HTML Code:

        margin: 25px 0; padding: 25px; background: #FAEBD7; -moz-border-radius: 8px; -khtml-border-radius: 8px; -webkit-border-radius: 8px; border-radius: 8px;
padding: 25px;
background: #eee;
-moz-border-radius: 8px;
-khtml-border-radius: 8px;
-webkit-border-radius: 8px;
border-radius: 8px;

my guess is that the option field is only showing 1 line right? and you coded your options on it.

There seems to be a problem with some plugins and wordpress causing this one line issue. The option box should have three diagonal lines on the bottom right side so you can make it bigger.

For teh time being, put your cursor in teh box and doa select all, then a copy and go to a text editor program and doo a paste. you will see all the options. You can adjust them there and thencopy them back into the option.

Try turning off your plugins to see if that fixes teh 'one line option' problem

You're right, it has been showing one line since I don't know when; it shows all lines in the second install. I was already using your Select All method, but I guess I was looking in the wrong box, the CSS Inserts... I will try and see which plugin might be causing this behaviour, and report back here once I find it.
The problem is fixed; thanks again!

Hi again Juggledad,
I think I found the plugin that is causing the 1-line issue. It's the WP-dTree plugin at http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-dtree-30/. Hope this helps,
Rutger
