[SOLVED] I've got myself into a little mess! Logged out, phpmyadmin not helping

I am really sorry to ask guys, but I am completely lost here.

I made the usual stupid mistake of not entering the siteurl and home url addresses correctly. Followed your previous advice and used myphpadmin to edit them correctly. I saved those changes. I went to a different browser tab and tried to log in, but it didn't recognise my admin password. So I thought I'd be clever and go back to myphp and correct the admin password in the wp_users file. I did this, saved it.

Now WP doesn't recognise my password, and when I ask it to reset this and send me the link, nothing is arriving through the email.

Can you do anything with loose hair, 'coz I'm tearing mine out! I realise that this is all my stupidity but I could really do with some help!

The installation is at:

Any thoughts would be really appreciated!
Thanks
Graham.

If you go into PHPMyAdmin and look at the users table. What is the email address for your user name? If it is correct you should be able to just hit the forgot password link when trying to login.

Hello Larry. Yes, that's what I thought. But nothing is happening. I've even tried another email address to no avail either.

I'll send you a PM with an idea

PHEW!!!!

Well thanks for the hand-holding chaps!

I've made it!

When I tried editing the two URLs in the wp_options file, I still had them wrong. I followed Juggledad's instructions about the password but the encoded form you PM'd me still wasn't the same as that generated by my machine. Once I'd got all three parts correct then it let me log in.

So, now I still need to put the two URLs right. I'm obviously not understanding this properly.

Thanks for all the help.
Best wishes
Graham.
