Facebook and twitter icons beside rss feed

Hi guys.

I was wondering how to get a facebook and twitter icon beside the rss feed at the top right of the page/ in the header. I have limited coding experience so if someone could help me through this or suggest a pluggin that will do it for me, that would be great. The theme itself is great and easy to use, even for a beginner like me.

Thanks in advance.
Scott

With Montezuma knowing how to figure out what some of the code is doing and how to use CSS is going to be necessary. Firebug is also a tool I wouln't want to be without.

This user just did something similar. You might be able to use that code as a starting place. This post might help, too.

Those links don't seem to address the issue being asked. Are you sure you have the proper links?

Oh, yes. The first link is to a post where the poster puts a link to his site. On that site, there are social icons all lined up in a row in the upper right corner of the header, almost exactly what the poster on this thread asked for (the RSS feed icon could easily be added next to it).

The second link is how to get code from something already done and implement it.

@jerryc.... But they didn't address HOW to make the changes and this @scottywebster said he had "limited coding experience" so I didn't know how to give a simple answer but...

@scottywebster
To answer your question a bit more you could
  • Go to the virtual header.php in the theme options
  • Wrap the code for the icons you want in a div
  • Give the div an ID
  • Place this new div somewhere in the div with an ID of banner
  • Position with CSS.

I hesitated on putting instructions like that here as you mentioned you weren't that familiar with code.
