Showing Social Share buttons on Blog page
 

This is something I've struggled with for a while on a few sites.

I want to have the full blog posts on my home page (the blog page) .... along with social share buttons. I've tried a few plugins - most recently TF Social Share and Flare - and while the buttons show up fine on the actual individual blog page they don't show on the main homepage. So on my site (http://www.theprooffairy.com) I have got round it by including only an extract - so people have to click through to read the whole post and then see the share buttons. however, I'm building a site for someone now (http://www.pleasemindthegap.info) and they want the complete posts showing on the homepage .... but then the buttons don't show up, and no one will know or bother to click through to the individual post to get to the buttons!

Anyone found either a way to get round this in Atahualpa or a plugin that actually works?

I'm pretty sure I have used a plugin that allows for sharing buttons on the excerpt but you may have to add a "don't strip these tags" entry in the Ata settings. You will probably have to do a bit more "trying" of plugins as I don't recall which one I used.

Try the 'Share Buttons by Lockerz / AddToAny' plugin - I've got one site where the first post is a full post and the rest excerpts. It shows fine on the full post.
