[SOLVED] Newbie messed up
Well, I don't know.
I was trying to get rid of the too-long-for-my-liking footer line that begins" "Powered by WordPress..." so I <!-- and --> around $footer_content. OOPS now I get this: syntax error, unexpected T_DEC in /home/jerice50/public_html/directoryofcheese.com/wp-content/themes/atahualpa/functions.php on line 138 (:oI undid the <!-- and --> yet it still laughs at me) I check on it, and line 138 is this, in its entirety: the <a href="http://wordpress.bytesforall.com/" title="Customizable WordPress themes">Atahualpa It seems that I can't even get the code to go back to its original. Can someone please hit me gently, and then tell me what to do? Thanks so much! |

well, JuggleDad - I would, but I can't. I am not a mooch, and will gladly fork over assistance buck$, but I have been absolutely stuck out in the cold for over 3 hours.
I am unable to go ANYWHERE in my dot com without the same screaming parse error, specifically, I can't get off the page - WordPress will not even let me go to my dashboard - in order to delete the Theme or do anything else. ... so I am kinda reluctant to provide BFA money without knowing if it will even solve this problem. Know what I mean? Any sugg's? I am becoming frustrated. :( |
what version of Atahualpa, WP and PHP? - the line in error is blank in 3.4.2

what version of Atahualpa - the most recent one, I think, because I just installed it 2 days ago from WordPress Themes
WP - 2.8.? PHP? - these have versions??? - told you I was a newbie have you tried yourdomain.com/wp-admin? - yes - but that bad screen is all that shows |
