[SOLVED] Dumb question on centering text

I am creating a page and want to center some of the text. I never switch to "Visual" mode but have to in order to use the center alignment tool. When I switch back to HTML mode it seems to mess up the page. Not sure if this is a bug with WP or not, but switching back and forth between "Visual and "HTML" seems to mess up the page.

How would I "center" this text:
<strong><font size="+1" color="red"><em>Call us today!</em></font></strong>

I tried various "align" and "float" tags, but I can't seem to figure out the syntax.

Try this in HTML mode

<p style="text-align:center;font-size:20px;color:red"><strong><em>Call us today!</em></strong></p>
