[SOLVED] Category Menu Bar Disappeard

My category menu bar seems to have disappeard in the latest upgrade of WP (2.6)

The bar is there but the text says "no categories" and it is black versus the white that I had set up.

Any ideas?

Grrr---never mind. I found it. Apparently in the upgrade process, one of the files needed became unwritable.
