[SOLVED] Multiple footer widgets?

I'm interested in doing what I think will be a footer widget. At this point I think it will be a footer widget area with 2 horizontal cells.

One will have some information in such as the company mission statement and then beneath that the basic copyright info. Am I correct in thinking that would be two cells?

And if they decided to add something else (links or something) it would add a 3rd cell? Two widgets next to one another and then a long widget underneath for copyright, credits etc.

Am I on the right path here? Or is there an easier way? I want each one of them to look like they are standing alone meaning I'll likely be adding a border or some that would divide them. Am I making this too difficult?

You can just add the two celled widget area over the footer content that is there. No need to had a full width widget area unless you have to put a widget in it.

In your first example I wouldn't even add a widget area. I would just add text for the mission statement then a <br /> and then the footer content.

Thanks Larry. Actually there is more than just a statement but will play with it and see what I can come with. I figured I might be over thinking it.

I managed to get thus done. Kept it pretty basic and only used 2 cells, so the next one I'll jump in deeper.. Thanks for your help Larry.
