[SOLVED] How to move posts, categories, tags from old version of blog to new

I can do it by pasting each piece in and going over the formatting but isn't there an easier way?:confused:

I thought that just worked for Atahualpa settings but I'll look on the dashboard for another export/import. Thanks!

Just tried it--it lists a variety of importers [export was easy] but no way to import using the WordPress importer--instead I am getting directions to install it. Woulding it be already installed with WordPress?

went ahead and did the install and voila! it worked!

The time and effort depends on how many posts and categoried etc you have and how many imbedded links to images etc.

how about page, comments, users, media and plugins?

Wordpress.org has explanations on how to move sites you might want to read.
