what is the actual name of the theme folder, is it atahualpa or atahualpa344 (check this by using FTP to go to the wp-contents/themes folder)

Do you have both an atahualpa and an atahualpa344 folder in the themes folder?

You are tunning from the ../wp-content/themes/atahualpa folder and in atahualpa/images/header are the three default images. you need to remove them. You can test they are removed by just using this link http://www.callcentersoftware.com/wp...r/IMG_1496.jpg
if an image shows up, then you didn't delete the image, if you get a 404 you deleted it.

dhoward Dec 7, 2009 02:12 PM

The directory is: "atahualpa344" and that is where I put my image, and deleted the images that came with the distribution.

There was not a "atahualpa" directory. I created it, and put my image in there, after observing that the help text in the theme mentioned just "atahualpa" - I'm going to remove that directory.

When I enter this:

http://www.callcentersoftware.com/wp...er/header6.jpg

(header6.jpg is one of the default images)

I get:

404 - Page not found

Not Found

Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn't here.

EVEN though the default images are still rotating in the blog.

When I type this:

http://www.callcentersoftware.com/wp...ll-centers.png

(my image)

I get the same thing - a 404 error.

The only way to figure this out is of someone can look at your WP backend, directory structure and maybe control panel. It is probably something simple but not via the forum. If you want me to take a look, send me a PM with an ADMIN id and PW to your blog as a start

dhoward Dec 7, 2009 02:25 PM

I'm at a loss how this can work:

did you ever move this site from another host? I wonder if this is a DNS issue or possible a htaccess issue.
put a small foo.html in the root directory
HTML Code:

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 3.0//EN">
<HTML>
<HEAD>
<TITLE>am I at the right site</TITLE>
</HEAD>
<BODY>
<H1>Hi, I'm in the root</H1>
</BODY>
</HTML>

Then see if you can run it http://http://www.callcentersoftware.com/foo.html
if it runs, move it down a directory till it it gets into the atahaulp directory

Some header images rotate and others don't.

I have checked all the suggestions on the first post of this thread. I can confirm there are no issues regarding those steps.

Also, Permissions = 644

All files are in /public_html/wp-content/themes/atahualpa/images/header

An example of a header image that rotates is http://neahclinic.com/wp-content/the...ons_header.jpg

Two examples of header images that do NOT rotate are http://www.neahclinic.com/wp-content...es_header.jpeg and http://neahclinic.com/wp-content/the...es_header.jpeg

I have set the java rotation to 10 seconds just so I can watch the rotation (however, in the future it will be set to 0, once I correct this problem). As I watch the images rotate, it appears that it "tries" to load an image, I think it's this one http://neahclinic.com/wp-content/the...ce_header.jpeg , but fails and skips to another image.

I thought it might have something to do with file size but other images with larger file sizes are loading without issue.

Could it be the resolution is set too high for some of these images?

Any other suggestions?

The code will only look at files with the suffix 'gif', 'png' or 'jpg' - several of yours are 'jpeg'.

Change the name and they should work

theredone Feb 1, 2010 07:08 AM

That worked!

Thanks for your eye to detail. I'll make sure my "eyes for detail" are in before I pester you on a problem I should be able to solve.

jgrn307 Feb 3, 2010 04:40 PM

I'm curious, is there a way (or plans) to allow access to the more general wordpress media upload location? I'd like to be able to upload the files via the wordpress uploader rather than sftp/ftp. Thanks! I love this theme, by the way!

juggledad Feb 3, 2010 04:53 PM

plans? yes, when?...are you interested in funding the developer to do this?

SiriusO123 Mar 3, 2010 08:19 PM

Ok i have a problem
when i moved all my files out of the wordpress directory and into the main public directory my header image and my logo image didnt show anymore. I'd just like to know if theres some way for me to change what directory this theme goes to for those images. And thanks for the cool theme

juggledad Mar 4, 2010 03:33 AM

when you moved the directories, did you change the 'Wordpress address (URL)' and 'Blog address (URL)' in the general settings?
What is the url?

Hello,

Images are not showing up for me in IE (not only my header images, but also images in pages), though they work fine in Firefox/Chrome. They are in .jpg format and have simple names like Slide1.jpg/Slide2.jpg - can you please point me to the right thread if this issue was solved?

My website is: http://www.habitatmudvolleyball.org/
This website was built for Habitat for Humanity of Charlotte NC.

Thanks in advance!

juggledad Mar 30, 2010 06:37 PM

For some reason, IE is changing the image name to all lowercase so it can't find it.
try changing the image names to all lowercase

preciousfoods Jun 11, 2010 04:35 PM

Hello, overlapping title and tag on header is not staying, just appears a fraction of second when it does. How do I modify this please?
Thank you for your help

preciousfoods Jun 11, 2010 11:33 PM

Hmm, not sure that was the right place to write, maybe I should have opened a new post? I searched on the forum but can't seem to find an answer that would already have been given? If there is already an answer can someone point it out to me?
many thanks

preciousfoods Jun 11, 2010 11:35 PM

Don't know if that is useful? : ourpowerback.com

preciousfoods Jun 12, 2010 02:06 AM

tonight nothing is working... the changes I am making are not taken into account by any browser... safari, shiira... only firefox took a little change into account after I had to reboot the whole macbook...
can someone please tell me what is happening? What should I do?

juggledad Jun 12, 2010 05:06 AM

preciousfoods - see http://forum.bytesforall.com/showthread.php?t=7324 - there are conflicts with the new java fade, so shut it off

preciousfoods Jun 12, 2010 11:42 AM

Thank you so much for your help, do you have any idea why atahualpa is not refreshing correctly when changes in the styling and else are done and why I need to reboot the whole computer, and even like that do not get much change?
Do you know if there will be a realease with a working fade soon?
many thanks

preciousfoods Jun 12, 2010 11:56 AM

Actually, after having a second look, it seems that it is rather atahualpa that is not saving any of my changes anymore?? Is there another thread I can read on that? Rebooting makes no change at all, it seems hitting save on ato doesn't take anything into account?

juggledad Jun 12, 2010 12:53 PM

make sure you are using version 3.5.1

preciousfoods Jun 12, 2010 01:40 PM

hello, yes I am using 3.5.1

preciousfoods Jun 12, 2010 01:40 PM

nothing working anymore. Don't understand.

preciousfoods Jun 12, 2010 04:45 PM

Can anyone help me on why it has suddenly stopped working?

preciousfoods Jun 13, 2010 09:09 AM

Well, I guess I need to go back to Thesis... everybody s raving about atahualpa, but it seems it is not working...

juggledad Jun 13, 2010 09:49 AM

send me a PM with an admin id and PW and I'll take a look

juggledad Jun 13, 2010 09:51 AM

btw, I notice you have super cache. When making changes to the theme, you should shut off your cache plugin and flush the cache otherwise you may be seeing the cashed version of the page and not the changes.

preciousfoods Jun 13, 2010 09:55 AM

Ah, thank you for the reply, that is really nice of you.

preciousfoods Jun 13, 2010 10:00 AM

yes, absolutely, it was the cache pages I was seeing and not the site, that had nothing to do with atahualpa, but with the "supercache" plugin.
Many thanks Juggledad!

Good morning brothers!

Am just so new to wordpress and have had afield days going thruogh posts and replies to problems of other members to see how I can use that to solve the issue I have with my own blog. I must confess I have learnt alot.

However, there is this issue I haven't been able to solve from the posts on this forum, it is the fact that my header image is cut into almost half and I have tried all I could to detect the problem.

My header image is rightly located in my wp-content/themes/atahualpa/ /images/header folder and each time i load up my blog, the header is cut by half.

I will appreaciate the help from anyone well versed in this blog techie.

# My blog: hungrytargetedtraffic.com ( am yet to make any post, cause I want to get everythng right first)
# am using atahualpa 3.5.0

# Wordpress 3.0

trilliumcreek Jun 20, 2010 04:02 PM

Atahualpa 3.4.9

I have confirmed path.
I have checked file names to confirm no spaces.
I have reduced # of photos in header file to one.
I have confirmed file is jpg
Still 2 out of 3 reloads, I get a blank header in Firefox and Safari.
http://trilliumcreekstudios.com/
What did I miss?
Any ideas?

juggledad Jun 20, 2010 06:26 PM

The file that doesn't show up is a hidden file in your image/header folder. This is the page
HTML Code:

http://trilliumcreekstudios.com/wp-content/themes/atahualpa/images/header/._IMG_1135.jpg
Notice the period at the begining of the name, that causes the file to be a hidden file. You will need to go in with FTP to remove this file.
