Upgraded WP to 3,9, Atahualpa to 3.7.15, NextGEN gallery to 2.0.61 --> fatal error

I got this fatal error below (exact file location varies) on trying to login to admin area starting Saturday for no apparent reason.
I have removed all unnecessary plugins and updated everything. NextGEN gallery now works fine and there is no error when I activate it in a default theme but when I activate in either the new version of Atahualpa or my previous version (was 3.7.12) it throws the same error and I can't access admin area. The visible front end works fine whether nextgen is enabled or not.

website is http://decosmos.org

"Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 122880 bytes) in /home/decos216/public_html/decosmos.org/art/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-plugins-list-table.php on line 148

The Php info access on server is http://decosmos.org/phpinfo.php and shows memory limit 128M

Incidentally the atahualpa upgrade removed the widgets from both 'inner' sidebars and moved them to 'inactive sidebars' at the bottom of the widgets screen. I had to move them back to the correct sidebars.

You are out of memory on your host. Possible solutions
1) ask host for more memory
2) eliminate some plugins
3) use a theme with smaller memory needs

The host (Hostpapa) is not willing to increase the memory but suggested that I have scripts that are leaking memory. They also suggested removing plugins and changing theme if I can't find where scripts are 'leaking memory'. I have no idea how to do that. I have removed every plugin I can without losing site functions that matter.

Does it make a difference if javascript is inline or external? It was external, now I've put it inline to see if it makes a difference. It doesn't seem to.

Coincidentally, I think, I have had to revert to ata 3.7.12 because every time I even preview the new version it relocates all the inner sidebar widgets on both side to 'inactive'.
I'm really hoping there is a way to resolve all this without giving up Atahualpa.
Ideas? Help?

How much memory does your host allocate to you?

IslandJewel Apr 25, 2014 07:53 AM

memory limit 128M

This is onw where someone is going to have to go in and possibly add some debugging code into the theme and/or plugins to see what might be happening and see if they can find out what is eating the memory and unfortunately that is way beyond the free help we can give out on the forum. You probably have to hire someone to help you out. Sorry
