[SOLVED] Left align first item in page bar menu

Hi have added the following css to space my menu items evenly:
ul.rMenu-hor li {
margin-left: 25px;

}

Problem is the first item is now 25px from the left.

How do I keep the margin of the first item at 1px yet keep the 25px between the remainder of the items?

have you tried
margin-left: 1px;
margin-right: 25px;
