How to Use Google Fonts API

I would like to use the Google Fonts api with my theme. I tried using a plugin to activate the fonts but the theme CSS seems to override the plugin. I would like to use the Google font Reenie Beanie in the page menu. The plugin I was using allowed me to specify which style to apply the font to so I chose list (li) because the page menu is a list, right? Then I tried to add the font inline on the page menu settings page, but that didn't work either. Can anyone give me some direction on this one?

I used Typekit, no plugin required. http://typekit.com/

Just experimenting with a calligraphy/handwriting font in the H2 post headlines: http://zeldajane.com/

Once you pick your font and get the code, just pop the code into the theme options/HTML inserts/header inserts area.

I'm using the trial account at the moment, from Typekit.
