How to populate a list of post titles under the latest full post?
 

Is there a way to make a list of post titles populate under the latest post?

Posts would go into the list as new posts are made.

New post would be complete article (unless I truncate it ie. more...)

NOTE: it would be nice to have option to have dots or arrows to mark the posts.

I am not a widget writer so I can not make this myself.

Set your blog to display 1 post per page
add a new widget area to the page footer (area below the LOOP)
add recent post widget to the new widget area.

How can I ommit the 'latest' post in the 'recent posts' widget?

The latest post is always at the top so it needs to be ommited from the list until another 'new' post replaces it.

Also, could you elaborate on where to add the 'new widget area' so that it will only show widgets on the front page...
