Edits to Posts do not carry across into Excerpts?

Site currently being run on dev server (offline)

I noticed that the excerpts on my home page do not match my actual blog entries.
I display excerpts with 50 words on the home page.

To replicate:

- Publish an article
- Edit the article
- The edits do not carry across into the excerpts

Am i missing something here or is this a bug?

did you create a manual excerpt in the post - or are you using automatic excrept creation?

If you have a manual excerpt, that is stored seperately by Wordpress and so you would need to change that also

If you have an automatic excerpt, thatcreates teh excerpt based on the contentents of the post itself each time it displays the excerpt
