Hello all,
As Flynn recommand me, I post the french translation of atahualpa 3.3 here.
Fell free to download the FR_fr.mo for use in your site and the FR_fr.po if you want making your own french translation.
A great thanks to Flynn for this wordpress theme than I consider as "The Graal of the wordpress themes" :)

[Edit 7 March, 2010] The french translation for Atahualpa is updated to 3.4.6

Thank you, Wolforg. I'll organize this area of the forum a bit more in the next days so the new files are easier to find

I've updated the french fr_FR translation for the 3.4.2 version of the theme.

jdj Sep 8, 2009 10:56 AM

From a newbie.

I've attempted to install the atahualpa 3.4.2 French translation but I'm not seeing any French at all on the site. ("Leave a reply" is still in English) I think I may be putting the fr_FR mo & po files in the wrong folder. Do they go in the wordpress/wp-content/languages folder or do they belong somewhere in the .../themes/atahualpa324/ folder?

Here is what I did:

created a languages folder in wp-content
uploaded fr_FR.zip (thank you aedrin!) and extracted it - now the mo & po files both appear in the languages folder

edited the wp-config.php file that came with the installation of Wordpress to read:

/**
* WordPress Localized Language, defaults to English.
*
* Change this to localize WordPress. A corresponding MO file for the chosen
* language must be installed to wp-content/languages. For example, install
* de.mo to wp-content/languages and set WPLANG to 'de' to enable German
* language support.
*/
define ('WPLANG', 'fr_FR');

/* That's all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */

I will be most grateful for any assistance

Got it!
Thanks.

The fr_FR.mo works with this version of Atahualpa (3.4.3).
It's great but if someone have problem or have seen some translations not effective, reply to this treads with a description of the problem please :)

In order to save times for the next frenchies, just install the files in the wp-content/Atahualpa/themes folder

Just a question : is the date translated also ?
Below the posts, the date remains in english.

Thank you for the translation

Wolforg Sep 30, 2009 08:02 AM

@ airsp : For translate the date go in EDIT POST/PAGE INFO ITEMS and replace
Code:

%date('F jS, Y')%
by
Code:

%date('l j F Y')%

Bonjour Wolfrog,

Wolforg Jan 5, 2010 01:13 AM

@jsgrenon,
