Form Plugins not working...

Hi folks,

I've been trying to set up registration forms with payment options on my friends website (isscl.com) for an event they're running, but I'm having a big problem with all the plug-ins I've tried (MM Forms, Event Manager and Event Registration).
I get as far as having the form all set up and looking good but when I test ANY of them the form fails to load. One of the developers suggested it might be a Javascript problem, but I'm not sure how to investigate that. I contacted the company hosting the site and they seemed to think that that couldn't be the problem.
So I'm stuck!

The site is built on ATA3.7.1 and Wordpress 3.3.1

Can anyone suggest what might be causing this problem? I'm not a developer and have no coding knowledge.

Thanks in advance.

where is the form on the site?

Hey, Hi,

It's at: http://www.isscl.com/index.php/confe...egistration-3/

the password is your name on here.

There's another one at: http://www.isscl.com/index.php/membership/
that doesn't seem to be working either...

Both forms on there are MM Forms, but I have tried to get Event Registration and Event Manager to work on the conference page too. Unsuccessfully.
Thanks for looking.

Is this 'MM Forms' or 'MM Forms Community'? mm forms points to mm forms community

MM Forms is the name of the Plugin... Is that what you were asking? I'm not 100% sure... sorry

When I went to download the plugin is says it is no longer under develpoment and is now MM Form Community and an open source project. My first test with it I hit an error. Looking on the wordpress forums and the google forum, I see a number of issues, so...I wouldn't use it.

Personally I use Gravity Forms - it is a paid for plugin, but it has support.

Hmmm, OK, thanks for the advice.
I still had the same form problem with Events Registration and Event Planner plugins... I'll have a look again and maybe if I can't get them to work I can get back in touch?

sure, I keep tabs on the forums, going out tonight and will be busy most of ftomorrow but I'll be checking in.

Event Espresso is one I have gotten to work. I used the premium version but if all you need is PayPal integration Event Espresso Lite should work for you.

I just checked your site though and I am seeing a form on one of the pages you gave us a link for.

Yes, I had looked at a couple of other options. Event Registration would be perfect, but I'm having the same problem with that:

The form set up works and it appears on the page. The fields are fillable, but when the user clicks the submit button nothing happens (apart from a spooling 'loading' icon). No data is uploaded.
I'm thinking that as I have this problem on this site with ANY form I have tried it might be some sort of conflict with how I have Atahualpa set up? It's a weird one...
Any suggestions are welcome.

Have you tried deactivating ALL other plugins to see if there is a conflict?
Have you tried switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to see if it works there?

I also see that your installation is on a Zeus server. From what I can see it should work fine but I am not familiar with that platform and possible issues.

lmilesw thanks for the tips. I will try those and let you know how it goes.
Have a good weekend.
