Ad Sense in sidebar/widget text book is no show!

http://yankeetraveltoday.com/wordpress/

This is the url for my site. I have tried to make sidebar widths match ad sense code, switched to left and right sidebars, even changed ad sense codes and checked to make sure sidebars are showing. Yet, I cannot get Ad SEnse to show up on Home page--or anywhere else for that matter.:(:confused:

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Mal

you have a extra <div>...</div> that is causing the problem

remove the '<div class="widget-content">' and it's corresponding '</div>'

Thanks very much. I am sorry but I can't seem to figure out where to find the "div" etc. code.

I did. It seems that there is an error in the code--BUT I don't know where to find it. (see post above).
I put code in a sidecar widget text box. Is that correct?

When you say a sidecar widget do you mean the 'Sidecar Widget'? You should use 'Text' widget, just paste your code
HTML Code:

<script type="text/javascript"><!--
google_ad_client = "pub-7555410243883867";
/* 300x250, created 6/1/09 */
google_ad_slot = "8010371810";
google_ad_width = 160;
google_ad_height = 600; //-->

</script>
<script type="text/javascript"
src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js">

        </script>

and it works. I just put it in my test blog to see.

If this doesn't work, send me a PM

Yes, I used the text widget and put it on the sidebars--left and then right. ("sidecar" was a typo, sorry@!)

Is this now working for you? If so, please mark the post 'Solved' (under 'Thread Tools')

Seems I have the same problem. Pasted the AdSense code in a text widget in my right sidebar and the ads don't show... Could you take a look, please?
the site's www.elektroretailmagazine.nl

Oops, sorry, seems to be solved..

Same thing with me

It doesn't work in the sidebar widget, even when I use the "text" option

<script type="text/javascript"><!--
google_ad_client = "pub-8069134861464999";
/* 200x200, created 8/12/09 */
google_ad_slot = "7191036927";
google_ad_width = 200;
google_ad_height = 200;
//-->
</script>
<script type="text/javascript"
src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js">
</script>

Look into the source code of your site. Is the code there at all? Has it been changed?

For the record, it can take up to 10-15 minutes after you create the code before the ads begin to show. Before that it's just a blank space. I suggest to make the code, wait 10-15 minutes, and then inserting it to your sidebar or wherever. It usually shows up without any problems.
