Centering Blog title and Tagline
Hello,
i have started using the atahualpa theme only yesterday for a customer's website. At the moment i am adjusting the layout and style according to her wishes. I have been quite successful so far, but right now i got stuck with the simple question: "how can i center the blog-title and tagline" within the logo-box? whenever i add "text-align: center" within the blog-title and tagline, the text-alignment seems to be centered, but somewhere at a fixed point at the left and not at the center of the whole page. i have also tried to change the table-layout to fixed and give the logo and the search-box 25% each. that should result in 50% for the blog-title. for i don't have an idea, how the table underlying the header-box actually looks like, i don't know how to solve the problem. note: i don't want the blog-title and tagline to overlay the header image! i use atahualpa version 3.4.6 and wordpress version 2.7.1 thank you in anticipation for any recommendations and help to solve the problem! elisabeth |
somehow it worked this way:
logo area styling: table-layout: fixed; blog title styling: width: 200%; float:none; margin-left:auto; margin-right:auto; text-align:center; tagline styling: width: 200%; float:none; margin-left:auto; margin-right:auto; text-align:center; but why?! why setting the width to 200% turns out to work fine? edit: well - it actually didn't work out for iexplore. |
