Font settings not responding on front page only

I was attempting to reorganise my front page as the image will not stay where i put it even though i have not added anything to the page it moves to the left when i hit update.

I restored to a previous setting where the image was correctly positioned and when i hit update it again moved to the left.

Then i found that it was not responding to the font setting.......http://tothegarden.org/wp/

I tried inputting some text on another page and the font was correct.http://tothegarden.org/wp/?page_id=745

I restored to sometime in may and it would input the correct font but strangely though it would insist on sending the top image to the left when i updated which is where it keeps wanting to go.

I am afraid that is beyond me.....can anyone suggest something......???

jim,
The word 'Garden' has a font-family assigned to it - mceinline
Go look at the post or your page and view the source using the HTML editor and see what is coded as.

Hi Juggledad
Yes thats right...But i am not aware that i am telling it to do that.
My font is set as papyrus and the setting is behaving itself on the other pages.

My first impression is that i am doing something stupid or missing something that should be obvious
so i go over and over wrestling with it,.....However i know now that it is not always as simple as that....i wish it were!

Jim,
create an export.php as Flynn describes in http://forum.bytesforall.com/showthr...CT+option_name then run it. Search the generated file for the word 'mceinline' and that should give an idea of where is is stored. If you need help, paste the 10 lines before and after the line you find the word on.

jim Jun 11, 2009 12:23 PM

Hi Juggledad
Yes i managed that and got a list of <Atahualpa Options>......However no mention anywhere of mceinline.....It was easy to scan too as i am not using that many options.

What is that rogue font doing on my front page???

I did mention that when i restored to a previous version the correct font responded...does that make sense???

Please go to your home page in the backend editor and switch to the HTML editor and copy and paste the contents.

Sorry i should have pointed out that that is what that code is in my first post.......

Is that what you want to see?

juggledad Jun 11, 2009 02:47 PM

If you mean post three of this thread, you coded the style="font-family: mceinline; in several places

jim Jun 12, 2009 01:52 AM

Thats right, post 3 was an example of the font mceinline appearing contrary to the settings in A-T-O-Body, Text and links.....and without any prompting by me.

I have never used mceinline or any other font since i set up the site and I checked all my computers to see if they had developed an issue with the font files.

I had a similar problem some time ago ...bolding links in sidebar....would not work. I struggled with that until Flynn realised it was a bug and brought out 332.......

That made me wary of moving on something that seems to be irregular to the settings.

Just delete the code and proceed?????
