[SOLVED] cant install plugins
 

Hi everyone .. I'm new to bfa forums.
Montezuma is a great theme and a great gift to wordpress.

I have a little query , it may sound silly, but its really getting on my nerves.

I cant install plugins for my website. I installed 2 or 3 , and now they just wont install.
I can't upload them.
I cant install them, after searching for them.
I cant install them from my web file manager.
My internet speed is also good.
I just can't.


whenever I try to install it, I get the following message :

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 10 seconds exceeded in /home/a3903197/public_html/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-filesystem-direct.php on line 172

any help, would be really appreciated

Sounds like it might be something with your host but is hard to tell.

Do you have the latest version of WP installed?

@jerryc : yes I have the latest version, its 3.5.1 .. i donno what the problem is , its pretty annoying

@lmilesw : I dont think so, but really cant say

Moreover I discovered something today. I can install other plugins, but I am not able to install

W3 Total Cache, &
WP ECommerce

I guess there isnt any problem with other plugins.

This message is saying that you are only allowed 10 seconds, by your host, to get a request done.

From this I would deduce you are on a very inexpensive host (ie you don't pay much per month) and will most likely run into other 'performance' issues in the future. You are also probably limited in the amount of memory you are allowed to use which will most likely cause issues in the future.

My advice, find a better host.

yea i guess, this must be the case then.
my host is d root of all problem
