Read more tag

I've configured a custom "read more" tag to replace the default "[...]" tag in configure post excerpts.

But my home-page/post-page continues to display the default read more tag.

Any ideas. This is the custom read more tag I've created for excerpts:

<p>Leer mas <a href="%permalink%">%title%</a></p>

Thanks you:)

What version of Atahualpa, WP and PHP?
What's the url?
Are you talking about EXCERPTS or 'Read More'?
what have you got at ATO->"Read More" tag?

cliffbird Sep 4, 2009 03:24 PM

I am using wp 2.8.4 and Atah. 3.4.1

the url to my site that is in the early stages of construction is:

http://www.irrimexico.com/

As you will see the post excepts on the home page continues to display [...]

and the excerpt in the post/page cursos display a custom tag "Leer mas ....".

At Read more I have: Leer mas &raquo;

At Config Ex. in the Custom Read More I have: <p>Leer mas &raquo;</p> and I try the default as well.

Thank you!

What are all the options you have set at ATO->Configure EXCERPTS?

cliffbird Sep 6, 2009 01:55 PM

In ATO--> Configure excerpts I have:

I have "Only Excerpts" selected for the home page. With the exception of the first "sticky post".

In the custom read more I have:

<p>Continue reading <a href="%permalink%">%title%</a></p>

And in the don't strip tags: <p>

very odd, it works fine for me with the same settings. Please do the following:
1) logon as an administrator
2) in the address bar type 'http://www.irrimexico.com/wp-admin/options.php'
or it may be 'http://www.irrimexico.com/wordpress/wp-admin/options.php' depending on your settings

this will dump the wp-options table to the screen, scroll down till you find 'bfa_ata_custom_read_more'
copy and paste down to (and including ) bfa_ata_excerpt_length in a reply here.

I notice in the source of your pages that there is a message <!-- WP Super Cache is installed but broken. The path to wp-cache-phase1.php in wp-content/advanced-cache.php must be fixed! -->

Please disable all your plugins and see if this is still a problem

Have you made any changes to the Atahualpa code?

cliffbird Sep 10, 2009 05:23 PM

I've made no changes to the code.

I deleted the plugin wp super cache and will not need this plugin after all. Does the advanced-cache.php still need to be fixed?

As far as the read more tag, I can hold off on fixing this for now.

One other question, is backing up the site difficult. If I get the files with FTP and save them locally, will this be enough. Any advice on back up?

Making another donation ASAP for all you help.

Thank you.

1) switch to the Atahualpa theme
2) test again

(this forum supports the Atahualpa theme)
