[SOLVED] Max Number of Header Images
 

In the theme options under Header Image the instructions says not to use the pre-loaded option if too many images are used. What is "too many"? Or what is the recommended maximum when using the pre-loaded option?

There is no set forumlar because there are so many variables
- how fast is your server
- how big are the images
- how many images are you going to use.
If you want the images preloaded, then they will have to be fetched from the server. If you have 50 inages and they are each 500k, that's 25meg that has to get fetched

Best thing to do is try it out and see how it works for you.

I am using ten header pics for a total of 700KB. Each image is 980 x 120 pixels. I currently have them pre-loaded and all seems to be working fine. I am hosting with Bluehost and they seem to have some pretty fast servers.
