Excerpts gone

Hi,

I waited for this 3.6.4 release of ATA, because I suspected all the bugs to be gone. This, however, does not seem te be the case. If I switch over to 3.6.4, all my thumbnails and excerpts are gone from multiple post pages. Can I do something about that? Shall i wait for the next release? I am in no hurry because 3.5.3. seems to be the most stable version anyway......

Cheers,

Carlo

Please do an export of your settings (ato->Export/import settings) and attach it to a reply - use the paper clip icon

I just retested and it works fine for me. - also deactivate all your plugins and see if that changes things.

I think I found it. I used a plugin called Thumbnail For Excerpts and disabled it. That solved the issue in a way. Now I have to appoint any picture I want to see in the excerpt as "featured image" whereas the plugin just took the first one in the post if no "featured image" was available. Is there a workaround?

Thumbnail For Excerpts is a plugin that hasn't been updated since 2009-12-17 and states that it is compatible up to WP 2.9.2 and if you look at the WordPress support forums it looks like it does not work with wordpress 3.0

It would seem to be an abandoned plugin.

Jah, I think you are smack-bam on the mark there, as usual. So what I have to do now is to go through all the posts an designate a featured image for all. Is the a quick way to do that or is there a "take the first picture"-option coming any time soon... :-)

That is a question for the wordpress forum - you might try doing a google search on it...

Yep, doing that already. Thanks.
