[SOLVED] Can't get widget / sidebar to play nice

Note that the table for the Text widget is set to 210px wide and the cells are each set for 100% of the table.

The sidebar is set for 240px wide. The bg of the table is the same as the sidebar color.

But why is that white vertical strip displayed. It goes away of I set the table for 220px wide. But, that is too wide.

Please help? thanks

UPDATE - as usual, as soon as i post the question, I go back to the issue and discover the answer within 5 seconds. It's all in the padding. Once I adjusted the sidebar padding, no more problem.
