Categories Not Visible

I have installed Analhualpa theme but I can't figure out how to make the categories visible so people can post to them. I can't find a simple tutorial for this software. I have created the categories from the dashboard but they do not appear in the sidebar.

Categories only appear once they have at least one post. This is a WP default, not theme related.
