[SOLVED] Newbie - wondering how to remove "Hello World!"

Hi, I'm a newbie making my first foray into Wordpress.

I have Atahualpa V. 3.4.6, and I am using WP as a simple web page, not a blog. Anyway, I have searched and searched (both in the Theme Options and in this forum) on how to remove the "Hello World!" link from the top of my first post (which will be the home page), but I'm not coming up with any answers.

I'm sure it's something way simple, but I'm just overlooking it. Thanks in advance for the help! :)

that is a POST - eithor edit it or delete the post
if you want a page, create a new page via wordpress and change the settings (dashboard->general->reading) so your page will show up as the front page.
