Inserting a banner

Is it possible to insert a banner promoting an offer in the header, instead of just uploading an image of choice to replace the one that is there when you first set up atahualpa theme, Regards, Mick.

I think a quick search of the forum should find some threads for doing what you want. It's a bit hard giving definitive instructions as it depends on where you want it, what you want in it, how much you know about CSS and HTML, and working with WordPress etc.

Thanks for the reply, It is a banner promoting a product with my affilliate link in it, and I want to put it in the header, where the default image is when you first upload the theme, I have very limited knowledge of html or css, but know my way around wordpress a bit, hope this clears things up, Regards, Mick.

The default banner is meant for just images not images with links so you wouldn't use that for what you want. Most likely you would put the code for the image in the same spot where %image is in ATO>Style & edit Header Area. You might also be able to use an image plugin that gives you the option of adding php code and put what they recommend into that same area.

I can't think of anything "easier" but maybe someone else has an idea.
