Bold text problem

I am using WP 2.9.1 with Atahualpa 3.4.6

In Atahualpa text with a <strong> tag don't appear as bold which used to appear in my original theme.

I am attaching 2 screenshots

Original theme

Atahualpa theme

For instance in this case the USERNAME text appears bold in the original theme but appears as normal in the Atahualpa theme.
Can you guys help me solve the problem?
