[SOLVED] Can a page have two different parents?
Hello,
I want to make some pages children of two parents so they will drop down from two different first level pages in the menu bar. I know in real life this is very unusual ;-) But maybe in virtual life there's a possibility? I've searched the forum but found no match - so here's my question: Can a page have two different parents? If so, where can I set this? I'm using wordpress 3.3.1 and Atahualpa 3.7.3 Thanks for answers! |
If you use the WordPress Custom menu you can make a page a child of itself! you can have a page have a child that is a category that has a child of the original page. Go and play and see the things you can do.

Woah, thanks for the quick answer!
I discovered the Wordpress Custom Menu, but I thought you can only use it in sidebars. How can I put a custom menu in the main menu bar? Thanks again and I must apologize for my lack of knowledge. |
in the wordpress custom menu look at the top left section labeled 'Theme Locations'
Menu 1 - replaces the %pages in teh 'Configure Header Area' option Menu 2 - replaces the %cats Just select the menu you make in one of the two options. |
Thats it! Great - thanks again - case closed ;-)
