Event Calendar????

Hello all,

I have been trying to find an event calendar with rollover like the one at

http://www.lasplash.com/

That will work with Atahualpa. I have tried a couple from Word Press plugin directory without any luck.

I have tried the wp events-calendar but get this message when trying to activate it.

Warning: main() [function.main]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/ec_db.class.php) is not within the allowed path(s): (/var/www/vhosts/societypagemag.com/httpdocs:/tmp) in /var/www/vhosts/societypagemag.com/httpdocs/blog/wp-content/plugins/events-calendar/ec_day.class.php on line 49

Warning: main(ec_db.class.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: Operation not permitted in /var/www/vhosts/societypagemag.com/httpdocs/blog/wp-content/plugins/events-calendar/ec_day.class.php on line 49

Fatal error: main() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'ec_db.class.php' (include_path='.:') in /var/www/vhosts/societypagemag.com/httpdocs/blog/wp-content/plugins/events-calendar/ec_day.class.php on line 49

Thanks

This one works fine with Atahualpa 3.4.4 and Wordpress 2.8.5. I don't like the blocky way the event titles look if the categories function is turned on, so I deselect that. I need to figure out how to cure the problem with CSS. In the meantime, it's useful, and it has a widget so you can put upcoming events in a sidebar, and use the shortcode {calendar} in a page or post.

marineceo,
I assume this is the same issue you posted on the plugin author's site back on August 11th

Help would be greatly appreciated.

Since several people have been able to activate it, it must be a problem with your environment. Swap to the default theme and try to activate it, if you can't, then you need to pester the plugin's author once again

I misspoke. I have not been able to use Events Calendar either. It will run, but it also ruins the widget admin area. You can't drag/drop or save widgets if it's installed. I can't recall whether I tested it with the default theme, but I'm not using the default theme, so.....

The calendar I HAVE been able to use is Calendar by Kieran O'Shea.

Paulea, I installed Calendar by Kieran O'Shea and added an event, however all that shows in my Sidebar Widget is the Month of November (and the dates)... but no events, no rollover, nothing. Any ideas?
