[SOLVED] Home page defaulting to the wrong post
I have a strange problem, my site is defaulting to a previous post as the 'Home" page. It should be showing the most recent post, but it is pointing to my previous post.
Go to http://www.theinternetbook.com/blog/ and note that it forwards to http://www.theinternetbook.com/blog/...c-to-a-website. Under the header you can see that there is a newer post, and you can click the link and see the post. THAT should be the default post. I checked General Settings and the "Site address (URL)" is http://www.theinternetbook.com/blog, but it is not defaulting to this. Any ideas? Thanks, Tom |
What do you have 'dashboard->settings->reading->front page displays' set to?
|
Front page displays "Your Latest Posts"
I am not using WordPress menu In Atahualpa 3.6.4 Menu 1, I have "Home link in Page Menu Bar" - Latest Post, you can see that is displaying. Still defaulting to an old post. And BTW, this only just started happening. Been using this for over a year and haven't seen this problem. |
Did you add in any new plugins?
|
Juggledad,
You'll like this...for future reference. The most recent Plugin I added was "Redirection", which says, Manage all your 301 redirects and monitor 404 errors. Site: http://urbangiraffe.com/plugins/redirection/ I deactivated it and now all is right with the world. My most recent post is again the home page. Thanks for all your help. Tom |
