please don't multi post - sometimes posts are held for moderation.

Try swapping to the default theme (twenty-fifteen) and see what happens

Is very probably to function with twenty-fifteen, but I gave up on that theme for not offering what me offering your theme ( it was 2 years ago ). I said that it is a static page, I know that normally do not work "read more", but I hope to be a possibility.

Thanks, again.

please go test with the twenty-fifteen theme to see if it is a theme issue or that's how wordpress works.

After you test it, you can switch back to Atahualpa.

I did test with twenty-fifteen and twenty-ten, the same thing happens. Still does not work on static page whatever theme.

thank you.

So that proves it is not a theme issue.

When you entered '<!-more-->' into your page, were you using the visual or text editor?

in the visual editor put your cursor where you want the break and press the last icon on the top row whidh is a solid line, a dash line and a solid line on top of each other, and you should see the read more line

You're right, it is not a theme issue. I guess that is how I've designed the site from the beginning, ie static page.
When I have time, I have to change the fomat Front page displays in "Your latest posts". Now is " A static page ".
It will be a lot of work.

Anyway, thank you for your time.

Borza.

why not use the '<!--nextpage-->' tag?

borza Mar 1, 2015 03:41 AM

" next page " works, and I use it. But it's not the same thing like " read more ".
