[SOLVED] Mailchimp sign-up form in text widged not triggering success message

Hi,
I have a problem with mailchimp placed in a text widget in the side bar.

When a subscriber submits his name and subscribes, a redirect to a thank you message should occur, but it doesn't.

Also when es subscriber enters nothing, but hits submit, it is supposed to redirect to an error page. This does not happen either

The same code plonked into a pop-up (I have set it to show 1000 times for testing purposes - so you can try it) works beautifully.

So it must have something to do with either the widget or the sidebar setting. Cannot figure out what it is.

Do any of you have any idea where this problem may come from?

The whole thing is located at www.annashiney.com

Thanks,
Ann.

I just tried hitting submit and I do get a new window with an error message using Safari on a mac
what browser are you using, try an different one
also try swapping to the default theme and see if it is a issue there

Hi,

I tried Chrome and IE. Have not tried the others after both those failed.

Can you replicate my error if you use IE or Chrome? (If not, I know it's time to ditch the acer and finally buy the imac I have been salivating over for too long... :))

Good idea about trying another theme.

I tried on Safari and Firefox and it works, I get

I don't have to understand this...

I changed it to twenty-ten theme. Put the widget back in... it works fine.

Then I changed back to Atahualpa. Realized, I lost all my widgets (wonder what else...). Put them back in. And now they are working to.

What on earth happened here??

Anyhow, I am just glad it is working. Thanks!

Ann.

Go figure. I mark this as "solved" even though we really don't know what solved it.
