New header text widget not spanning page
1 Attachment(s)
I'm trying to add a new text widget to the header area. I've tried it on a local version of my site (I'll go live with it when I get it to span the page).
This new widget area is number 1 of 3 widgets. It's text content is: <div style="color: #505050; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; letter-spacing: 5px;">Doug Coe | Bay Area Architect</div> I've attached images of what it looks like and what I want it to look like (spanning the whole web page)...from a mockup. Any tips or clues on what to try to fix this layout problem? Thank you, Doug |
I'm not clear on what you want to do.

Hi Larry,
Thank you for responding. I tried to attach two pdf's but only one worked. It shows my mockup of what I want: the text "Doug Coe | Bay Area Architect" on the left side of the header, and the search box and phone number on the right. What I have instead is "Doug Coe | Bay Area Architect" has its left edge in the center of the page. Maybe this is related to being followed by two images, I don't know. Is that clear? Sorry if it's hard to understand. Doug |
If you defined the widget area in the header, then it can only be as lares as the header area. You have defined a widget area with three cells which means the three of them share the width of the header area.
You could define multiple separate widget areas... |
