Change to Static Home Page Messed Up Formatting, Permalinks to Blame?
 

First time poster so I beg for your kindness in responding.
My blog is about a year old, Atahualpa all the time, and now I want a static home page. So I go to the WordPress directions and rock it but now my format is all messed up and the image in the header doesn't show. So I do a search on Google, find a post in this forum that suggest changing the permalinks to the default and that should correct the problem and I do and everything looks normal. Obviously, with a year old blog this is an inadequate solution because I need the permalinks, at least the old ones, to continue the same.

I've got a few hours reading posts and wasting time on this and I beg for help. I would like to keep the static front page, keep at least the old permalinks, and have everything beautiful again.

I don't think so, I'm not using Frontpage and I haven't had a problem with Permalinks before. Besides, the links are working, it just has thrown the formatting off.
