Removing Featured Image from Home Page

Hi guys,

for some reason the featured image is still showing up on the home page, even though we removed it. Instead we embedded the image into the actual post. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks in advance

if you don't want a thumbnail, edit the postformat.php virtual template and remove the code.
