How do I add a background image that goes around the website NOT on my content? Or raps around the wesite.

This is what I have and it NOT working around the site. The background image is showing in the main content too.




font-family: tahoma, arial, sans-serif;
font-size: 0.8em;
color: #000000;
background: url(/wp-content/themes/atahualpa/images/backgr.gif) repeat top left;

What version of atahualpa and wp?
What is the URL?
Did you style the center area so it is not transparent?
