Ataualpa update 3.7.12 to 3.7.18 and... no header
 

Hello :)

I updated recently Atahualpa 3.7.12 to 3.7.18 and, in the same time, my wordpress 4.0 was updated to 4.0.1. Since, the header is not showing. I've tried to import my setting in Atahualpa and to update header and footer setting with save change but, no results.

Can you help me ?

What are you looking for in the header? I see the menu which is in the menu.

You see the menu on top ? On chrome, IE and firefox i don't see it. It must show : Index / Actu / Bio / Contact

I'm having the same problem. No logo image and no header one either. I have attached an export of my settings. By the way this is a test site at http://s2services.com/paxworks.org/. The original is still at http://www.paxworks.org/. A different test site, which I had to make, which is not updated from Atahualpa 3.7.6 is here: http://s2services.com/paxworksnew/. I'm attaching that export too. It is the second file named, ata-s2servicescom-paxworksnew-20141205.txt.

By the way, I'm trying now to use your columns template. Can you give me the most up to date primer on how to use it to show 2 columns with one category in the first column and another in the second. We have only two categories besides uncategorized, 'Nepal' and 'Belize'.

go to ATO->Style & edit HEADER AREA and hit the big green 'Save Changes' button
go to ATO->Style & edit CENTER COLUMN and hit the big green 'Save Changes' button
go to ATO->Style & edit FOOTER and hit the big green 'Save Changes' button

and see what happens

that's not how the template works. You can grab posts from two categories, but the display is

post3 post4
post5 post6
etc
the order of the posts depends on the query you code but you won't get just cat1 in colum 1 and just cat2 in column two. sorry
you might want to lok for a plugin to do that - you could lok at 'list category posts' and ustomize one of it's templates.

OK great. I got the logo and header back. I'm not sure if I understand the mechanism. I did find that the theme was looking for the logo file here: wp-content/ata-images/logo.jpg, so I had to create the wp-content/ata-images/ folder and put the logo.jpg file in there.

On the subject of 2 categories, one in each column, you wrote here to ahava that she should do two loops, http://forum.bytesforall.com/showthread.php?t=19064. I'll try that.

On another subject, I'm showing full posts in the two columns. How do I remove the gaps between the posts, sometimes appearing on the left column and sometimes on the right?

two choices,
1) use excerpts - so each post is the same number of words or
2) make sure your posts are the same number of words and if there are images, each post has the same number of images and the images are the same height.
