what is your URL?

vibhor May 7, 2013 08:30 AM

I dont know about the grid setting.
How can I check that ?

I don't understand, your page is aligned to teh center of the widnow. What are you looking to do?

vibhor May 7, 2013 11:07 AM

Please have a look at it now. i have removed the widgets from the right side. I dont want them. I want my text of the page to be in the center of the screen. Is it possible ?

juggledad May 7, 2013 11:12 AM

when you removed the widget area, did you increase the number of columns of the content area? Have you read thru the onscreen documentation explaining the grid system?

vibhor May 7, 2013 11:15 AM

No I didnt increase the number of columns. Moreover I havnt read the documentation about the grid system. Should I ?

vibhor May 7, 2013 11:43 AM

I read this post. It was really helpful. So should I make two widget areas , and one center column ...so as to align my page in the center.

vibhor May 8, 2013 09:56 AM

should I do something about my CSS grids to make my page look in the middle of the screen ?
If yes , then please guide me how..

juggledad May 8, 2013 10:22 AM

look, you deleted the widget area which had a class 'col5' and the content area has a class of 'col7' - now if you have to have 12 columns, what do you think you have to do?

vibhor May 8, 2013 10:36 AM

Sir actually the widget area had class 'col4' and content area had class 'col8'
now if i delete the widget area one..
should I make two widget areas of class 'col2' each for left and right , so that my content is in center, coz the sum has to be 12
I don't know Sir, i'm really confused..
all I know is that the sum of col should be 12

juggledad May 8, 2013 11:12 AM

well try and see if you like.

Juggledad's right, try different things on a test page, and see what you like. Giving your div's different bg colors on your tests makes it very easy to see the layout.
