Creating a slideshow in the sidebar using Atahualpa 3.4.9
 

Hi,

I've read a lot of threads and it seems people have been having problems with slideshows. Can someone tell me which (if any) slideshow plugins could be inserted into a sidebar successfully using ver. 3.4.9?

I haven't. I just wanted to start with something that had worked already. I'm not exactly a wordpress master...and if I downloaded something that wrecked havock on my site...I'd spend the night pulling my hair out...finally culminating on me throwing my computer out of the window. HAHAHA So before I get to that point...I thought I'd throw it out there. If it doesn't work...can I just deactivate it and return things to the original condition? Backup, backup, backup

Get the wp-dbmanager plugin and do a backup of your database and FTP backup the wp-contents folder. And backup the wp-confit.php file in the word press root folder. With these three backups, you can recreate your site.

I have used the NextGen slideshow widget that comes with NextGen Gallery many times.

I've used Creative Clans Slide Show to put rotating pictures in widgets.
