Client already got authorize.net ... your cart suggestions?
I have a client who has already ordered authorize.net which would not have been my recommendation, but too late now ... what shopping cart do you all suggest?
This client is not going to be dealing with a lot of products, complicated inventories or shipping rules. There will be things like downloads and seminars. I guess I am doing a shopping cart integration for wordpress whether I like it or not. I appreciate all the smart people on this board and would like your suggestions. Thanks in advance. |
I would check out Cart66 if you only have a small number of products.

That looks really cool - it says it has membership access features which we needed also. I appreciate your input!

I am playing with this free version on a nonprofit site I do and I love it! Thanks for the suggestion.
I will probably go ahead and get the paid version for the client. Hadn't heard of it til you mentioned it but the reviews are rave. |
Here, take a look at this link, http://www.danielwatrous.com/authorizenet-for-wordpress -it is a very simple solution for you and your client. It is cheap and very helpful, this should be exactly what you are looking for. Hope it helps.

Authorize.net plugin and Cart66 are both the same price. It seems like you get more for you money with Cart66.

Just to follow up for those interested -
I am using Cart66 for my nonprofit, just with PayPal, and it does the job. Unfortunately for my client it lacks a few things the client needs, like controls over downloads, No way to create a new product by copying an existing product, Company Name is not in checkout field - I have a question into them to see if this is possible, “membership” feature but is tied entirely to PayPal, and the client doesn't use PP. I installed Shopp and while I was impressed at first, it's a hot mess. Support is almost non existent. I am not impressed and thinking about getting a refund before the time is up. I looked at Tribulant, and doesn't look like it has the features we need either. Unrelated to wordpress, I just implemented CS-Cart and it's fabulous. |
