Best Welcome plugin / Navigation plugin for Atahualpa?

Currently using Atahualpa on http://intensecogitation.info (v3.4.9, WP v3.0). I'm currently looking for a plugin that will display a welcome box to new visitors, and also a plugin that allows the blog to more navigable by creating a list of direct links to all posts within that category.

Is this possible?

For the welcome, I think I saw one called "What Would Seth Godin Do" or something like that.
