Atahualpa and Google Page Speed.

This facility from Google is a handy tool for checking your site/page speed:
https://developers.google.com/pagespeed/

One of my sites got hammered in the last Google algorithm change and it may have been down to loading times. I've been gradually tidying it up (there was a lot of crap in there, videos etc) and page speed for my test page has improved from 76/100 to 88/100 so gradually getting there.

One thing that i'm stuck on is that the tool says i should compress the bfa_ata css file even though the ATA options are set to CSS external / CSS compressed. When i change the CSS to inline the white space gets removed and Google pagespeed approves it as ok.

(I also get the same recommendation for the bfa_ata_js file, i.e, compress it)

The questions:
1. Can anyone think of a reason why the external CSS file might not be getting compressed.
2. Any pointers for compressing the bfa_ata_js file.

I've got WP-Minify running but not sure if this should be able to compress theme associated files?

The Theme itself seems to perform pretty well in its own right, just trying to squeeze the best i can out of the setup.

Tx

Mick.
