[SOLVED] "Recent Posts" widget not showing up
 

I'm creating a new site using ATA v3.6.4 and WordPress v3.0.3 www.dehumidifierreviews.us

So far I've only created 3 pages; "About", "Contact Us" and "Privacy Policy". No Posts yet

I created a new "Categories" widget on the Right Sidebar which overrided the default WP widgets ( "Recent Posts", "Blog Roll" and "Meta")

Next I created a new "Recent Posts" widget, but it does not show up on the site. (although it is present at: Appearance » Widgets » Right Sidebar)

Then I created a new "Text" widget, which shows up on the site.

Question; Why is the "Recent Posts" widget not showing up? Is it because I have not created any posts yet?

2nd Question; Is it possible to maintain the Default "Recent Posts" widget and then add other widgets like "Category" and "Text" without overriding it?

No, but you can add in the 'Recent Posts' widget yourself
