When is ThemeFrame going to be released? (it's here!)

Everyone's asking (and sometimes getting answers) in many different threads, so I thought it'd be best to have a particular one for this purpose. Not to put pressure on Flynn, he's doing one hell of a job with this, but I still feel that I would like some more feedback on the progress if possible. :)

So the question is: As it looks right now, when is ThemeFrame going to be released?

juggledad Dec 29, 2009 12:22 PM

a little birdie told me 'New Years Eve'

paulae Dec 29, 2009 01:25 PM

New Year's Eve, eh? Well, that settles it. Forget the party! I'm staying home to wait for Themeframe. :p

Of course, New Year's Eve for Flynn will come a bit later than for yours truly, so I may be waiting quite a while!

By the way, it's -.8 F. here in Vermont at the moment and the wind is howling. Too cold even to ski!

lmilesw Dec 29, 2009 01:28 PM

Boy Paula... I'm sure glad I live down south in Central New York state where the temperature is a balmy 8°.

juggledad Dec 29, 2009 01:34 PM

Remember, Flynn is in Germany - the days start there before they start in the US. - I imagine it will be sometime during the day.

paulae Dec 29, 2009 02:00 PM

Oh yeah, I forgot the time difference is the other way! Whenever....it'll be a pleasure to get our hands on TF.

I think my husband will shoot me, though, if I spend the whole holiday weekend buried in Themeframe, but that's probably what will happen. Maybe if I promise to ski with him every morning, he'll leave me to my Themeframe fun in the afternoons.

Yes! I guess I know what I'll be doing new years day. :p

Alright! This thread made my day!

Hi, I'm new to the forum. Will this be the Beta version? Not sure if I should donate for the Beta or wait and buy the product. Can anyone advise?

juggledad Dec 30, 2009 11:02 AM

Yes this will be teh beta version with no charge for teh final. You must donate $40 before it is released. You can donate to Flynn the developer or myself (juggledad) or a combination of the two. and You only have untill the beta it gets released which should be tomorrow. The price will go up for the final product.

artifact Dec 30, 2009 11:49 AM

OK, thanks Jungledad. I'll do that as soon as I get home this evening. Looks very promising. Happy New Year to all.

jezgw Dec 31, 2009 10:53 AM

I donated 40 bucks before I registered just now does it need to be syched afore I get themeframe?

juggledad Dec 31, 2009 12:00 PM

send me a PM with the paypal confirmation info And I'll see what I can do.

jack96161 Dec 31, 2009 02:49 PM

Oh darn... I always go skiing on new year's day because most of the ski crowd is too hung over to ski and I have my favorite runs to myself, but.... Flynn's timing is going to make it hard to choose!

Same here. New Year's Day (especially morning) is always good, crowd-wise. Alas, we came home early from Vermont because I have the flu. At least ThemeFrame will give me something to do while I'm sick.

Masselyn Dec 31, 2009 08:34 PM

Just wondering whether you should donate an additional $40, or what if you have already hit or passed that amount by donating previous to Themeframe. Just wondering, as I am always happy to send money when I can - but should I be worried about doing that right now for Themeframe when I have donated over $40 for Atahualpa - or can I wait a little.

Thanks.

Masselyn Dec 31, 2009 08:42 PM

Ignore my message above, I answered it myself. Been so busy I have not delved into Themeframe that much but the buzz is so exciting I wanted to make sure I can be a part of it when it comes out. You rock, Flynn!

jack96161 Dec 31, 2009 09:15 PM

Oh darn... I always go skiing on New Years day since most of the other ski nuts are too hung over to ski and I have all my favorite runs to myself. Flynn's timing is making things difficult -- unless we get a foot or two of fresh powder I just may have to break tradition!

Hi

Is there any chance to see a demo of themeframe (or more infor at least)? I've never heard about before I ran into this site.

I just dont want to spend 40 dollars (240 NOK) If I dont like it at all..

Check out the video's Flynn made

Danielwerner Jan 1, 2010 01:33 PM

No demo I'm afraid, but look at the excellent videos. They should give you a pretty decent view on what Themeframe's about. :)

Release 2010-01-01... 2½ hours left of it, Munich-time. ;D

Hi

Will this "program" be something like artisteer? Easy to use for a normal hobby designer?

I have not used Artisteer but I guess ThemeFrame is not as easy but more flexible. I.e. in Artisteer you may be able to create a site in 20 minutes while it may take an hour in ThemeFrame however in ThemeFrame that will probably be a more custom site as you can adjust 60+ CSS settings for 300+ CSS selectors for 10+ templates = ~200,000 settings - all with the mouse, without typing anything, all with live preview.

P.S.: That doesn't mean that you have to adjust 1000's of settings. Usually you'll adjust between a few dozen and a few hundred.
