Auto Draft bug and updating to 3.5.1?

Hi

I've just been bitten by the WP3 'Auto Draft' bug. It's on a live site that is my business...oh dear! I will upgrade to Ata 3.5.1 but could do with a little reassurance first.

I'm currently on Ata 3.4.4.

Is there a tut on upgrading Atahualpa anywhere? I've heavily customised the theme and can't just lose all my settings.

Many thanks

Adri

if the only customizing you have done is to the theme options - you aven't made changes to any of the theme PHP code, they you are all set.
I would recomment
1) down load a copy of 3.5.1 and unzip it - it will be a folder called atahualpa351 - keep that name
2) copy any header images into the images/header folder and get rid of the default three
3) upload the folder (atahualpa351) to the wp-contents/themes folder
now you will have two versions of atahualpa that you can choose to activate, the 344 or 351. This means you can swap to 351 and see what it looks like and if there is an issue, swap back to 344.

you may need to change some url's to point to the atahualpa351 folder, but that should be all

I just registered here to ask about the Auto Draft bug. Yesterday I updated to WP 3.0 and this morning I was bitten by Auto Draft. This afternoon I upgraded Atahualpa to 3.5.1 and I still have the Auto Draft going on.

Is there something I need to change in my settings or something to get rid of this? It's terribly annoying.

NM. It's back to normal now.

TTreasure, check to see if you have a cache plugin - if so, it can take time for changes to show up, you should shut it off during development.

I did the upgrade to 3.5.1 and can now switch between the two.

The Auto Draft bug seems to have gone.

However, some of my font sizes get screwed up when I switch to the newer version. It's as if there were some CSS modifications that aren't been carried over. eg the post headings were smaller and <H5> html heading were also smaller and a different font.

Is this a known issue?

TIA

there is a change in the base CSS for h1 thru h6. take a look at css.php from the two releases and you can see the difference. If you want the old ones back, copy the CSS and add it to CSS Inserts in 3.5.1

adri Jun 30, 2010 03:22 PM

so in css inserts I would put...

h1 {font-size: 2.15em; font-weight: bold;}
h2 {font-size: 1.85em; font-weight: bold;}
h3 {font-size: 1.6em; font-weight: bold; }
h4 {font-size: 1.4em;}
h5 {font-size: 1.2em;}
h6 {font-size: 1em;}

...

Would that then override the h1,h2 etc in the css.php as they would be in conflict.

It's quite a big change to the theme to change the html 'h' elements!

Cheers

yup, that's what you do. Flynn has an explaination somewhere of why he made the change, it might be in the release announcements...

Hi,

I also have the Auto Draft issue with ATA 3.5.1 and WordPress 3.0. Since there seems to be no setting for the defaults in this ATA option, I don't know where to go to solve this. Any solutions?

Kind Regards,

Peter
